Financial Advice Process
What type of lawyer is it who deals with possible disability, pension, social security, financial advice ?

Medical problem has put me on STD, looking at long term disability. Is there a lawyer that can help and advise the preperation of this process; Wills, financial advice, social security, pension, 401K (can i get to these before 65, I’m 47) ect..

OK – one stop shopping may not work for your varied needs but one firm may have several lawyers who can hit all of your needs. FOr instance, sounds like you may need an employment law expert as well as a wills & estates expert.

As for financial advice, you may be better off going to a certified financial planner or advisor for this unless you’re lucky enough to find an attorney who is also skilled int he area of financial planning. the two are not mutually exclusive but usually folks will pick a practice area and stick to it. Would you go to a surgeon to get advice on your car’s transmission??

If you’re still having trouble you can reach out to your State or County Bar Association and they can generaly point you in the direction of attorneys who practice in the areas where you need assistance.

Good luck!
